We have another busy year of performances planned for 2001. The first major event this year will be 'Music for Good Friday' at St James featuring our special guest star Peter Jackson. The evening offers a profound portrayal of the events of those biblical times from Palm Sunday through to the crucifixion of Christ. Next will be our Liberation Sunday celebration concert 'A spring Night at the Proms' with guest star Robin Littler on the Organ. This takes up to our two holiday-maker concerts this summer, starting with the Floral Guernsey Finale concert Theme on 10th June 'A Floral Tribute' with our guest stars Jeffrey and Rachel Howard on Organ and Harp. On 1st July will be our 'Sounds of Summer' visitors Concert featuring special guest stars Marilyn Baker and Peter Jackson. Peter and Marilyn met some years ago at the Blind Torch Scholl in Birmingham and now after several attempts, we will have them on stage together for what should be a very special performance. Both summer performances are at St James Concert Hall and start at 8.15pm. An annual event of the Choir is informal carol singing in the town of St Peter Port. However to round off the year, most popular of all will be the 'An amazing two nights of Christian fun and festivity' - carols, bells, party hats and seasonal music for everyone at St James with a special performance from the Childrens' choir Friendship Company.two night Christmas Carol Festival concerts on 14th and 15th December at St James. Booking for the Christmas concerts will take place on 6th October at the Forest Methodist Hall. Early booking on that day is recommended - availability for best view seats is strictly limited. Speak to Martyn Vidamour, our Front of House Manager on 265208 for any special arrangements prior to the performance, such as wheelchair access.
