The choir's own soloists provide greatly appreciated songs at most of the concerts at St James and in particular at Christmas and Good Friday.

  • Jose Paine
  • Jean Vidamour
  • Ruth Smale

Jose Paine

Jose,  a Soprano featured in the UK Christian group Continental Singers as a soloist, travelling with them throughout the UK, Europe, Canada, USA, Singapore and the Channel Islands. Jose has her own pupils and childrens' group Friendship Company and recently won acclaim in the Guernsey Eisteddfod.

Jean Vidamour

Jean has been a singer in the Festival Chorus for almost fifteen years and is much appreciated in both Guernsey and Jersey as a sensitive Contralto vocalist.

Ruth Smale

Another Contralto who adapts easily to folk-style singing ministry and keen on traditional country-western styles.

Roger Brooks

Organist and pianist and the Choir's official accompanist

Sue Brooks

Concert accompanist on piano

Adrian Tostevin
Adrian Tostevin on Trumpet

We also value the regular support of two other talented musicians, Adrian Tostevin and Gisela Jockish. Adrian is an ex Welshman and plays Trumpet and Flugel Horn and occasionally Bass Guitar. Gisela is from Germany and working in the island as a nurse and plays Trombone for the choir.
