Guernsey Festival Chorus - Latest News

Thank you to all who came to our Christmas concerts on Saturday Dec 1st in St James. Although a slightly earlier date than in previous years, we nevertheless shared a joyous reminder of the miracle of Christmas, and hope that you all have a happy and peaceful holiday.
Members of Festiva spent a wonderful day in Sark on Saturday on Saturday June 2nd. The visit culminated with a concert in the Methodist chapel before catching the boat home, tired and happy!
Festiva entered the Eisteddfod class for "Choirs - Church ,Chapel, Religious, Community" on Sunday March 4th at St James. We narrowly beat Alderney Voices choir by one mark, to win the Guille Alles trophy for the 21st time!!
Festiva invites any interested Grade 6-8 pianist to accompany the choir on Monday Evenings at Blanchelands school 19.30-21.30. Additionally there are some concerts throughout the year, mainly at St James but also surrounding churches and venues. Invited external musicians often join us for the concerts.

As of Sept 4th 2017 Major Jamie and Major Claire Hill of the Salvation Army have agreed to become Associate Pastors to the choir. We wish them a warm welcome and look forward to a fruitful collaboration.
